Recently, Quectel’s industrial-grade 5G module RG500L-EU has achieved another milestone by becoming the first to pass rigorous certifications from two major South Korean operators, KT and LGU+. Prior to this, the Quectel 5G module had already obtained KC certification (Korea Certification), and this latest endorsement from Korean carriers signifies its compliance with the high-performance standards demanded by the South Korean market. Quectel RG500L-EU is poised to support stable operations of various 5G IoT devices in Korea, facilitating rapid deployment for customers.
Based on the MediaTek T750 platform and utilizing a 7nm process, RG500L-EU features a 5G NR FR1 modem and a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor clocked at up to 2.0GHz. It supports both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G networking, with backward compatibility to 4G and 3G networks, ensuring stable, high-speed connectivity across diverse environments.
Quectel RG500L-EU is a 5G NR module designed for industrial and commercial use in regions such as Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Oceania, and Brazil. It’s part of the RG500L series of industrial-grade modules that are optimized for industrial IoT and eMBB applications. The RG500L-EU offers high-speed wireless connectivity, a downlink data rate of up to 4.67 Gbps, and an uplink data rate of up to 1.25 Gbps. It also has an embedded multi-constellation and high-sensitivity GNSS (GPS/ BDS/ GLONASS/ Galileo) receiver.
In terms of network performance, the 5G module supports 200MHz dual-carrier aggregation in the 5G Sub-6GHz frequency band, further enhancing its advantages in network performance, signal stability, and transmission rates. With peak downlink speeds reaching 4.67Gbps and uplink speeds up to 1.25Gbps, it meets the demands for high-speed, high-stability connectivity required by applications such as MiFi, CPE, and ODU, empowering smart upgrades across industries including home broadband, enterprise networking, industrial manufacturing, remote connectivity, video conferencing, remote healthcare, and online education.
Regarding Wi-Fi capabilities, Quectel RG500L-EU excels with support for EasyMesh™ and WPA3 R3 encryption protocols, offering multiple Wi-Fi configurations including single 5G 2×2 + 2.4G 2×2 dual-band and single 5G 4×4 + single 2.4G 4×4 dual-band setups. This ensures high-speed 5G wireless networks can efficiently cover a wide range of IoT applications in stable, cost-effective, and secure manners to meet complex deployment needs.
With its superior performance and versatile configurations, Quectel RG500L-EU provides dual assurances for 5G cellular and short-range wireless communications across various application scenarios.
